- Close the panel, restore power, and check the indicator light.

Sometimes the Calendar Wins
Here's the part I have to say even when it costs me a sale: if your roof is near the end of its life, replace it before you put solar on it. If you might move in the next couple of years, the math on a 25-year system gets harder. And if you need power before the end of this month, a full install won't happen in time.
